Dr. Woondong Jeong M.D.
Dr. Woondong Jeong M.D., the newest member of the WOHG medical team, comes to the group from the Harold Alfond Cancer Center of the Maine General Medical Center in Augusta, Maine. After medical school at the Catholic University Medical College in Seoul, South Korea, Dr. Jeong came to the United States where he completed his residency training and a fellowship in Oncology and Hematology at New York Medical College. He has been recognized in both organizations for scholarship and exemplary teaching. While he is published on a variety of topics including leukemia and lymphoma, stem cell transplantation, liver transplantation, hepatocellular carcinoma and adenocarcinomas of the stomach and distal esophagus, his special interest and expertise is in the management of gastrointestinal cancers. He is fluent in Korean and English.
